The Numbers Game: Usher Is #1

Last week most of us were basically right about the amount of records that would be sold by Usher. I think selling over 300,000 copies of Raymond v. Raymond is a win here. Also, I’m actually surprised at how many tracks I liked from the album. Does this mean Usher is officially back?

I was way over on my guess on the sales figures for Erykah Badu‘s album New Amerykah Part 2; The Return Of The Ankh. How can you fault me with all the press the “Window Seat” video received? But numbers aside, Saule said the album was dame near classic.

The big Hip-Hop release from last week, Meth, Ghost & Rae‘s Wu-Massacre, slides in at the #12 spot and sells almost 40,000 copies. Honestly, this numbers sounds about right. While my esteemed colleague Arkitekt liked the album, you boy thought it could be MUCH better and it sounded rushed.

E-40 hits the charts with a double shot as he released Revenue Retrievin’: Day Shift & Night Shift. You’ll understand if I don’t have much to say about this since we didn’t review either albums (Read here if you didn’t catch the memo), but hey, congrats to 40 all the same.

I’m not gonna even front like I even knew Army Of The Pharaohs‘ album, The Unholy Terror, even came out last week. I do know the Jedi Mind Tricks connection (And that’s without a Google search), but they sold around 3,000 units.
