Hip-Hop lost one of its GREATS today with the passing of Guru. Guru was the voice behind one of Hip-Hop’s most noteworthy duo’s Gang Starr. Along with DJ Premier, the duo went on to record some CLASSICS music that will remain timeless. Think back to some of your favorite Gang Starr songs: “Mass Appeal”, “Dwyck”, “Take It Personal”, “Manifest”, “Ex Girl To The Next Girl”, and the list goes on and on. They say you never really miss someone till they are gone, and folks now that the chapter has closed on Guru, we can now look back on his body of work and see just how DOPE the brother was. So while many of you are celebrating today, take some time out and take a moment of silence for one of Hip-Hop’s Pioneers and his family. RIP GURU. You will always be remembered as GIFTED UNLIMITED RHYMES UNIVERSAL to me.
