The Numbers Game: Eminem’s Reign Continues, Debuts From Kem & Dondria

It’s not that Eminem’s album Recovery doing crazy numbers has me scratching my head (I mean, he has sold more records that any other rappers ever). I guess I’m surprised that after 9 weeks, he is still selling 100k+. Where were these people during the previous weeks? Could he have did a million in a week if they were more informed of album’s release dates? Are zombies who love Eminem and have never heard of torrents or Rapidshare, rising from the grave and going to Best Buy? Who knows? But seven non-consecutive weeks is quite a feat.

Kem grabs the #2 this week with his third album, Intimacy: Album III. I only know Kem’s music because of my past two girlfriends. I do know that the women love this dude;  Him grabbing the #2 spot is proof of that.

YouTube sensation Dondria debut this week at #50 with Dondria vs. Phatfffat. If you don’t know who Dondria is or why she deserves you support, Saule Write just wrote a very good piece about it. I personally wish she’d gotten a better look but then again, an album in stores isn’t bad either (Seeing how see got her start).
