The Numbers Game: The Weeknd, 2 Chainz, & Janelle Monae

The Weeknd

Leading off this week is The Weeknd with his debut studio album Kiss Land (Those last ones were just retail versions of mixtapes). I have yet to really give this album a listen, but it’s obvious The Weeknd has fans. Kiss Land is the #2 album in the country almost selling 100,000 copies in it’s first week.

2 Chainz‘s B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time might have sold a little bit more but supposedly Def Jam didn’t make enough copies. How can you undership an album that contains a cook book? B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time lands at #3 and sell 64,000 units. Album review coming soon.

Janelle Monae dropped her second full length album The Electric Lady and grabs the #5 spot. I fucks with Janelle but the reviews on this album have been so-so. I’ll still give it a listen.
