Jordan did not help many any inspiring athletes when he was the president of the Washington Wizards either. He drafted Kwame Brown with the number one pick in the 2001 NBA Draft. Brown came from a high school in Brunswick, Geo. and declared for the draft instead of playing for the University of Florida. Brown showed potential in his first season for the nation’s capital; but it was not enough for Jordan. Sources told Sports Illustrated that Jordan often brought Brown to tears in front of his teammates. Brown mentally could not take the menacing and never lived up to his potential of being a number one draft pick.
