Our boy, Ari Aster is back after basking in the acclaim of his 2018 film, Hereditary, with his latest A24 produced film, Midsommar. I say this with all sarcasm, “Going away for nine days to a festival in the middle of a forest, staying in a village of people that live off the land together, how could that go wrong in anyway?” These kids did not learn about the dangers of Fyre Fest and Coachella.
Also, shout-out to English actress Florence Pugh who is starring in this film. I became aware of her after watching Malevolent on Netflix (I did that so you don’t have to) and decided to follow her on IG. She’s currently starring in the WWE biopic of wrestler Paige in Fighting With My Family in theaters now (You can probably ask B-Easy for a review) and she has Little Women coming later this year with a cast that includes Meryl Streep, Laura Dern, Bob Odenkirk Saoirse Ronan, Timothee Chalamet, and Emma Watson. Ultimately, Good things happen when @goodkidratchetcity decides to follow you on Instagram.
“THIS SUMMER, LET THE FESTIVITIES BEGIN.” From writer/director Ari Aster and starring Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor, William Jackson Harper, and Will Poulter. MIDSOMMAR — In Theaters Summer 2019.
