First of all, let me say that I usually don’t like the normal rap videos. You know the ones I mean; party by the pool, counting money, scantly clad video hoes models. I mean, how many times we gotta see this? That why my favorite video right now boggles the mind. Yes, if I had to choose a video from the current playlist, it would be Fat Joe’s “Make It Rain”.

Why? I don’t know. Maybe it’s the bright colors? Maybe it’s the cool Puffy & Baby cameo (can’t forget Ricky Ross, Scott Storch, Cool & Dre either)? Maybe its Lil’ Wayne carelessly scrapping stacks of money off his hand (Michael Smith on Around The Horn, we see you). The intro reminds me of a late 90’s/early 2000’s Hype Williams video …and I love me a Hype Williams video! Sometimes a good video is a simple video and this is one of them. My girl is gonna kill me for this one, but maybe I like the video because it has probably the best group of video vixens/strippers I seen in a while (I’m not saying that’s it, but maybe). Shit, I even like that “Joe knows kicks” shirt. DJ Khaled holding the umbrella for Joe in the rain is hot. This is crazy to me because I’m a dead prez fan (check out the staff page); I’m not supposed to think this video is actually good. Why do I give this video a pass and not give any other generic “we got money & hoes” rap video a pass? I don’t know, I just don’t know.
