After two years of delay, Young Jeezy‘s Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition finally hit the store shelves last week and it looks like Jeezy still has some fans out there. TM103 sold 233,000 in it’s first week and lands at #3. If it wasn’t for Adele (Who’s 21 sold 400,000 in one week a year after it’s release date) & Michael Buble, Jizzle probably would have had the top spot this week. Common released his 9th studio album The Dreamer/The Believer and it didn’t do too bad in terms of sales. It sold basically 70,000 copies and grabbed the #17 spot. I’ve honestly haven’t had a chance to check this out yet, but I do feel like if it was released through G.O.O.D. Music & Kanye lended a verse or a beat, it may have faired a bit better (No shot a No I.D. though). [Don’t worry, the review is coming]
Roscoe Dash‘s J.U.I.C.E. EP, a project I didn’t know was released until just right now, actually shows that this kid has some fan support behind him. J.U.I.C.E. sell almost 10,000 units and it get the #132 spot.
Seeing that Drake, Lil’ Wayne, & Rihanna all saw their album sales increase, I guess people are still buying album as Christmas present.
