Ace Hood is back with his newest project entitled Starvation. I can’t tell you if it’s good but check out what Ace Hood had to say:
The Starvation mixtape is definitely showing my growth. It’s showing my growth and the things I’ve been through but most importantly, it’s really about me starving for respect in the music industry.
I’m starving to be somebody great. Being where I’m at today and having done what I’ve done with my career on the rise, I want more. I’m starving for more. This mixtape is crazy. I’ve been doing a lot of things differently from what I’ve been doing in the past.
People can still expect me to come hard with those street bangers but I even opened up another side of me. It’s going to give people an inside look at the things I’ve been doing and what they can expect to keep hearing from me. I think this is going to be great because there’s a lot of new energy, new records and a different me on there.
It’s more personal this time around, compared to my past releases. I like to say every mixtape I drop shows what’s going on in my life right then and there, really in the forefront. So Starvation incorporates a lot of that.
I’ve been dealing with a lot of personal things and people see the glamor and the fame, the jewelry and traveling, but there’s things that go on behind the scenes that people don’t know about. So now you’re going to get to understand Ace Hood a lot more as a person, as a human being. So it’s definitely more personal records on Starvation.
With the cover, I wanted to do something totally unexpected. I wanted to get people and the fans talking. I envisioned it as me doing something alongside controversial and getting noticed. I wanted to do something different than the typical Ace Hood may be used to seeing. I felt like that represented starvation. It took me a while because I didn’t initially know what would represent it.
