At one point, I honestly thought Iggy Azalea had a chance to be the biggest rapper in the world. An attractive white girl with talent to rhyme backed by an established rapper? Yea, this could work.
Not so much these days though. Her T.I./Hustle Gang affiliation is kinda murky, her recent music hasn’t made much noise (It seems like people care more about her crossed out A$AP Rocky tattoo), and we still don’t have a release date for her debut album The New Classic.
But the music video for “Work” is a step back in the right direction. It feels like a bigger budget version of her older videos that first got the public’s attention like “PU$$Y” and more importantly there’s a scene where she giving a lap dance that reminds me of Death Proof. Directed Jonas & François.
