It’s been around four months since Freddie Gibbs dropped his last album, You Only Die 1nce. And while we’re still waiting to see if he’ll release a deluxe version, he’s been keeping fans fed with new music, including the full version of “Nobody Like You” on Valentine’s Day. Today, after teasing it on Instagram, he follows up with “Big 2.”
The track flips SWV’s “Anything” (the album version, not the more popular Michael Jackson remix), and if Freddie’s new wave is rapping over classic ‘90s R&B records, I’m all for it—because this is dope. (Gibbs also sends some shots at a few rappers but I’ll let you put that together)
