Miami Connection (1987)
Directed by Y.K. Kim
Ladies and gentlemen, meet my new favorite bad movie (Sorry Howard The Duck). Let’s check out the plot first:

The synth rock band Dragon Sound, consisting of five University of Central Florida students, embarks on a crime-crushing justice in the streets of Orlando against groups of cocaine smugglers and ninjas.

From the action to the acting, this movie is terrible. But it’s also charming because it’s so bad and it takes itself so seriously. It may also contain the best almost death scene in history. Props to Y.K. Kim for starring and directing a movie and not knowing how to do either. And props to Alamo Drafthouse for rereleasing the film. Check the trailer up above.

Grade: C-
