After surprisingly announcing last night that he’ll be dropping an album on November 5th, Eminem surprises us again and drops the first single off Marshall Mathers LP 2, “Berzerk” (Also previewed last night at the VMA’s). Rick Rubin, who is also executive producing MMLP2 along with Dr. Dre, produced “Berzerk” and you can immediately tell.
Naming an album Marshall Mathers LP 2, I guess that means Em is going back to the vintage Slim Shady, but this sounds like vintage Beastie Boys. Is the whole album gonna sold like this? Also, with the original Marshall Mathers LP is arguably Eminem’s best album, MMLP2 has a lot to live up to. I guess I’ll hold judgement until I hear more songs. Check out the Shade45 radio rip below. CDQ version added.
