I’ll go ahead and admit that I didn’t expect much from WWE Battleground on Sunday night. It wasn’t the worst pay-per-view I’ve watched, but it felt kinda weak. My losing interest in CM Punk vs. Paul Heyman continued even though it proved my theory that low blows are Ryback’s real enemy. Bryan Daniel vs. Randy Orton was a decent match but we STILL don’t have a WWE Champion (Thanks Big Show).
I’m pretty sure you’ve already guessed what was my favorite part of the show: Goldust & Cody Rhodes defeating The Shield. Besides getting a “maybe ready for bigger things now” Cody Rhodes back and seeing Goldust in the WWE again, we also saw Dusty Rhodes deliver a Bionic Elbow to Dean Ambrose. That was cool. Word to Saphire.
