Fans salivated at the idea of a lyrical beast from Brooklyn spitting over some west coast mastery. But of course Ortiz and Dre’s partnership didn’t last long and the MC split ways with the label. Joell did what most Aftermath signees couldn’t do and that was find resurrection. His musical second life came with the formation of Slaughterhouse that would later be signed by Dre’s protégé Eminem.
