With “$ave Dat Money”, Lil’ Dicky tried to create the world’s most financially responsible rap music video of all time. And it turned out awesome. The visuals also double as a mini-documentary so we see Dicky going from mansion to mansion asking if he could use it in his video for free (He also does this with yachts and expensive cars), trying to trade ads for use of a night club, and using a T-Pain’s music video shoot as his own to cut cost.
Besides the obvious appearances from Rich Home Quan & Fetty Wap (It feels like the only way they could get Fetty Wap in the video was to meet him at an after-party), look out for cameos from Kevin Durant, Hannibal Buress, Mark Cuban, Tom Petty, Sarah Silverman, and Ilana Glazer & Abbi Jacobson from Broad City. Directed by Tony Yacenda. The rap game got it all wrong.
