5 Forgotten Money In The Bank Ladder Match Winners

Damien Sandow

Damien Sandow

Damien Sandow won the 2013 Smackdown Money in the Bank ladder match after pushing his then tag team partner and best friend Cody Rhodes off of a ladder. Sandow would debut a “new and improved” custom designed briefcase after Cody Rhodes threw the original design into the Gulf of Mexico.

The “Intellectual Saviour of the Masses” would hold onto to his guaranteed world title shot for three months until he cashed it in on an injured John Cena. Sandow would become the second WWE Superstar to lose his championship match after cashing-in, but he would become the first Superstar to lose via pinfall, unlike John Cena the year before who lost because of an outside interference.

Damien Sandow seems to be remembered more for the result of his cash-in attempt more than him ever winning the Money in the Bank ladder match in the first place.
