Mr. Kennedy climbed the ladder of success when he won the third annual Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 23. Mr. Kennedy would announce to the world that he was going to cash-in his guaranteed world title shot at WrestleMania 24. Mr. Kennedy would hold on to the Money in the Bank contract for only thirty six days, until losing it in a match against Edge on an episode of Monday Night RAW.
Mr. Kennedy was the first and only WWE Superstar to date to lose their Money in the Bank contract before seizing an opportunity and cashing it in.
Mr. Kennedy’s Money in the Bank ladder match win will go down in the record books, but unfortunately his win is ultimately forgotten.
