My knowledge of Reggae is about as in-depth as my knowledge of Latin Trap. I heard this song on the way home from my therapy session and it is pretty hopeful so I took it as a sign. Yesterday, I put it to the test to see if I wanted to post it today. With the song playing in my wireless earbuds as I walked around a crowded Dallas park Saturday morning, I had the same feeling when I first heard it. May is “Mental Health Awareness” so I’m looking everywhere to compose a playlist of inspirational songs and songs that address mental health issues, this will be track one.
“Sun Is Shining” was originally released on the 1971 album, Soul Revolution, from Bob Marley & The Wailers, but I choose the 1978 re-release found on the Kaya album. Happy Sunday! Happy Mental Health Awareness Month!
