With no warning, Usher Raymond returned with Zaytoven to release his ninth album, A. It’s disappointing when your favorite songers in their 40’s chase the young audience with up-tempo beats and shallow lyrics about bitches and bands. This project is no different and I am ashamed for liking this 8-track project. I Short-Thot, I mean Short-T, recognizes this an attempt at relevancy. I don’t want to hear Gunna with Usher or hear about how he took my girl and paid off her mom’s house. That’s great, I don’t know why I am supposed to be emasculated because Ms. Shay gets to own her house now. When Zay & Ursh work well, the results bang in my phone.
For those that want a ballad, enjoy “Say What U Want.”
