Today J. Cole unleashes the music video for his highest charting single ever, “Middle Child”. I don’t know what I envisioned the music video to be, but this seems about right (and dope).
It has Cole performing in the woods in front of awards show crowd, dead bodies, and parts of an all female marching band. It’s also shows Cole in a trophy room with the heads of your favorite rappers mounted on the wall (Not exactly your favorite rappers, but you’ll get it). The video also makes a statement about the stealing of Black culture as it shows a white woman buying the features/style of a Black woman as well as Cole being shown in a shopping cart.
There’s other things to mention (The dirty Bentley makes an appearance) but watch for yourself. Directed by Juro “Mez” Davis.
