In honor of Black Music Month, I wanted to do something special. I invited writers Jazzi Johnson and Olivia Jordann Lewis to reflect on a year when we were all entering into our twenties and discuss the music that played along the way. For those unfamiliar with what was happening 10 years ago, here are some highlights: Charlie Sheen’s extremely public meltdown (Winning!), Osama Bin Laden was killed, Oprah Winfrey hosted the last episode of her talk show, the royal wedding of Prince William & Kate Middleton, the Occupy Wall Street movement, and most importantly, Ray J called into The Breakfast Club.
