Ever since seeing the trailer for Enter The Void earlier this year, I always loved the idea behind it: An entire movie visually from the first person perspective. Gaspar Noé, the director of Enter The Void, calls the movie a “psychedelic melodrama”. Those two words may be the best way to describe this movie but I’ll add in a synopsis anyway:
A drug-dealing teen is killed in Japan, after which he reappears as a ghost to watch over his sister.
Another thing that stands out is the hyper-realistic style of the film. If you was one of those kids back in the day that went into seizures when you watched Pokemon, you might wanna skip this one. Even the opening credits of this movie are intense (Same goes for the poster).
Even if you don’t agree with the accolades this film received (“Technical masterpiece”), it’s still something to experience.
