Big K.R.I.T. – 4eva N A Day
Released: March 5, 2012
As we lead up to his eventual debut project the question and skepticism was mounting. Could he put out a commercial album that was as good as his first and second mixtape. It seemed like the majority of listeners felt his albums seemed to have lost a step with each release, becoming more heavy and uninteresting, 4eva N A Day was still no less anticipated regardless of what folks though of his previous projects. At this point, K.R.I.T. was simply a breath of fresh air with the talent to keep you interested enough to at least download this as a flavor savor for the upcoming project…and by most accounts he didn’t disappoint. Some may even say that this album was better than Live From the Underground. K.R.I.T pretty much gave us what we expected musically. With songs like “Boobie Miles”, “Red Eye”, and “1986” K.R.I.T. seemed to make us all marvel at his talent at telling stories nad creating moments on an album that is in itself, one of the best moments of 2012. The Big King Remembered In Time is exactly that for us here at the ‘Fro for this 2012 mixtape; one of the best we’ve heard this year. – Saule Wright
