Rhymefest – “Dynomite (Going Postal)”
Produced by Just Blaze
Album: Blue Collar (2006)

2006 was a year where Hip-Hop was slowly shifting. It was in the middle of a transition for the genre so things got a little confusing. Things like snap rap (Dem Franchize Boyz) and ringtone (Soulja Boy) were accepted for some reason. But out of the limelight there were guys like Rhymefest who were trying to make a name for themselves. Sure he’s no household name but at least he was following a path a lot of rappers take now.

This is a working class person’s anthem with a wicked Just Blaze beat. And you know the lyrics are honest because Rhymefest is just rapping about what he knows…working hard for little pay.

Craziest Lines:

Blue collar rap, why I call it that?
Shit I know more real niggas at U-Haul than hauled crack
You ain’t a stand up man? Well you fall and crawl back
You a long distance thug, the fuck you call that?
