Jay-Z & Jay Electronica – “We Made It”

Lupita

Well would you look at this? I clear the crust out my eyes and wake up to this? It must be some kind go Sunday miracle. Jay-Z & Jay Electronica both drop verses over Drake & Soulja Boy’s “We Made It”.

Wait, does these mean we’re actually getting a Jay Electronica album this year? Two songs in a ten day span plus Jay Elect apologizing to his fans in his verse here could be a good sign (Plus there was a SXSW sighting). As for Jay-Z’s verse: I’m happy to hear anything for new for Hova. Listen for out for his quick reply to Drake’s now infamous Rolling Stone interview. Shout out to Lupita.

  1. Ugh. Stop jacking that Migos flow. Just because it sounds hot when they do it, doesn’t mean it does when you do it. Net bloggers are pushing this heavy because they don’t care about biting.

    1. How else would you rap over this beat? This isn’t biting, unless you call what Biggie did on “Notorious Thugs” or what “Mixtape Lil’ Wayne” did or “Mixtape Jeezy” did or what 50 Cent did early in his career, biting.

      1. Damn…. B got real defensive about that biting remark. I agree though. This isn’t biting, but it’s not good either.

      2. There are a million ways to flow on a beat. It was a conscious choice by Jay Elect to flow like that.

Okay, maybe I was wrong on the biting remark, but still, Jay Elect and Jay-Z don’t sound comfortable with the Migos flow. (Jay-Z should kind of stop rapping at this point, with how he was sounding on that last album and on this)

        1. So Jay-Z made or is featured on 4-5 legitimate hits out right now: “FuckWithMeYouKnowIGotIt”, “Drunk In Love”, “Part II (On The Run)”, “Devil Is A Lie”, & “Tom Ford” (maybe). And this nigga should give it up? That doesn’t make ANY sense. But okay…

It’s funny because it’s a lotta rappers out right now who should really hang it up. I think people are just tired of Jay-Z winning.

          1. Fuck hits, that’s such an irrelevant conversation, Jay’s last album was straight bum. The best producers in the world can’t cover up the fact that he doesn’t care anymore about rapping well.

          2. But you said Jay-Z needs to stop rapping. He still raps well. Can you say his verses on “Pound Cake” or even “Devil is A Lie” were trash?

Okay, and while I didn’t think the last album was “straight bum”, that’s your opinion. Now think of all the other rappers who drop albums that you didn’t like or you thought were trash. Hell, some rappers never put out a good album. Does that mean they need to stop rapping too? It just doesn’t make sense.

It’s too many bum ass rappers out here making music for you to say that Jay-Z, one of the greatest rappers of all time, needs to stop rapping. Is it an age thing? Or do you think he just needs to get out of the way for other rappers?

All the while you saying this, you defend Migos and say they hot. Okay,

          3. I was on your side until you tried to say Pound Cake wasn’t trash Easy. Jay’s 2nd verse on Pound Cake is one of the worst verses I’ve heard from anyone ever, just terrible.

  2. I remember reading the lyrics to this and I was like “Damn Jay-Z was going ham” but when I heard it I’m like wtf…. I guess the way they flowed on here threw me off but how else can you flow on a beat like this? I can’t expect people to get too lyrical or flow like they would on other beats. No way… Migos are my little homies I knew them when they was little kids and their sister was my classmate from middle school to 10th grade.
