So yeah, I’m kinda late on Bruiser Wolf. I remember him from Danny Brown’s Bruiser Brigade and vaguely recall some hype around his debut Dope Game Stupid, but I never really sat down with it (Should’ve listened to Kevin Durant, apparently). But here we are now: Bruiser Wolf dropped a full album with Harry Fraud called Made By Dope, and I like it way more than I expected.
And about his flow? It’s like a hypnotic, conversational drawl—part stand-up comedian, part street poet, like a descendant of Suga Free. He talks like he’s leaning back in a chair telling you a story he’s making up as he goes, but every bar lands.
Bruiser Wolf also released a music video for “Tubi,” one of the standout tracks off Made By Dope. The visuals feature the Detroit rapper posted up with Detroit Tubi stars (That’s what Instagram told me. I can’t confirm any of this). Check out the Vinny Martocci–directed video below.
