Cesaro hasn’t held a singles championship since 2012 when he won the United States Title at SummerSlam. The Intercontinental Championship has always been referred to as the workhorse championship, and Cesaro being a workhorse in the ring he is the true definition of what the Intercontinental champion is. Owens and Cesaro have shown that they have great chemistry in the ring from their battles they had this past SummerSlam, and there’s no doubt that they would have a great and memorable rivalry over the Intercontinental Championship.
