Leon Bridges – Good Thing

Throwback is Leon Bridges‘ middle name. The Fort Worth native is never far from an aesthetic doused in 1960’s Soul. His follow-up to 2015 debut, Coming Home, seems like it has a more modernized sound. I’m not talking about a Calvin Harris or Metro Boomin hand was involved, but I do believe that the performer/producer side of him wanted the (smoke) challenge of creating music that he could have more fun performing live and seeing his audience dance at shows. Job well done on evolving his production and not alienating his fanbase in an attempt for new listeners by adding Ricky Reed to the production credits along with frequent collaborators Niles City Sound.
