Bottom Line: This album is definitely not for everyone. It’s dark and grimey from both a production and vocal point of view. It reminds me of those old school black and white gangster movies. However, it’s definitely one of the most original projects of the year. There are no drums on half of the tracks, but the soul samples create that mood music sound. Give this album a real chance and it’ll take your mind to another place as Roc Marciano revives that gritty hip hop one track at a time.
