First Impressions: The 50 Best Hip-Hop Intro Tracks

45. T.I. – “56 Bars (Intro)”
Produced By DJ Toomp ~ Album: Paper Trail (2008)

T.I. had more to prove than O.J. on trial with 2008’s Paper Trail. Being caught with a small army’s amount of weapons the year before T.I.P. had to convince fans to wait for him while he was locked up.

And convinced them he did. Some of TIP’s best work was created in this dark time and it paid off immensely. The album was both critically and commercially a success. The album’s first track displayed the much-missed chemistry between T.I. and DJ Toomp along with the fact that T.I. was back in beast mode.

Memorable Lines:

World hopped off my jock, I got ’em right back on it
Ohh! Step back, brush myself off
Picked bid’ness back up right where I left off
I could show my dough, that other guy just talk
Hey where I live just as big as yo’ projects dawg
