Ignoring flight regulations, Leikeli47 landed on stage at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon still wearing her mask. The Brooklyn rapper performed “Chitty Bang,” the first single off Shape Up, her long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s masterpiece, Acrylic, releasing May 13th.
I also liked the first video from the album, BITM. Like fellow New York native, Teyana Taylor, Leikeli’s music and visuals are inspired by and highlight Ballroom culture. Personally, I’m not the biggest fan of that scene. I didn’t watch Pose. Climax wasn’t a movie I enjoyed. Fortunately, I can appreciate something when it’s represented well. And the “Funeral Ball” skit from A Black Lady Sketch Show was hilarious.
