R&B Sunday: Kali Uchis – “Tomorrow”

Kali Uchis, the Grammy-nominated singer and favorite of mine, released her debut album, Isolation, this past Friday. I’m between giving it a 3.5 or 4-star rating; it delivers on the promise she has shown through her features and Por Vida EP. Before I listened, I peeped the tracklisting  and saw Kevin Parker’s name on numero once, “Tomorrow”. As in one man band man, Kevin Parker, of Tame Impala.  Yeah, I already knew which song I was going to listen to first and it was what was expected. It’s Kali Uchis taking control of a song made for an Australian psychedelic rock band. I recommend the album because there were several tracks I could have picked for today’s post like                                                                                                                                                                   “In My Dreams” feat. Damon Albarn of Gorillaz“Your Teeth In My Neck”, “Just A Stranger” featuring Steve Lacy, or even “Feel Like A Fool”. I think you understand what I am trying to convey, it’s a great project. Enjoy. Happy Sunday!
