The charts this week wasn’t as busy as last week, but we still had some movement in terms of Hip-Hop/Rap releases.
LOX member Styles P released his 4th solo album last week with Master Of Ceremonies. The fact that the album charted at #33 and sold over 11,000 units isn’t bad at all considering that a lotta people didn’t even know the album was coming out (Also note that Jason Derulo had a 13,000 debut last week). Also dropping a 4th album is DJ Shadow with The Less You Know, The Better. For some reason, I thought DJ Shadow was DJ Honda, but then I realized that I knew barely anything about DJ Shadow (I do know that he has a large vinyl collection). Either way, The Less You Know, The Better debuts at #149 and sells 3,400 units in it’s first week.
Another artist I don’t know much about is Dessa. I do know she’s down with Doomtree and she more poet than MC (I think) but I haven’t heard a lotta of the music . He album Castor, The Twin debuts at #177 with 2,500 albums sold.
