  1. Great episode of the frocast. WTF was Michael Turner thinking/doing to get busted for DUI after winning a game? I see 50 stay making moves by now teaming with Pacquiao. And I wouldn’t be suprised if this is actually a setup/some kind of scheme for 50 and Mayweather to get Pacquiao for the fight to happen. And if the fight actually does happen, like Saule said, it’ll be horrible. To me, it’s crazy and fucked up about what Wyclef said/made accusations about Lauryn Hill in his book. Is there such thing as a black sign language and a white sign language? Why can’t it just be sign language and leave at that? It’s silly to me. It’s definitely a BIG WTF about that drag queen that got busted for stealing a purse, did 3 years in a hardcore women’s prison, and said it was hell. Some of the nominations from the BET Hip Hop awards are just a WTF for me. How in the hell did Big K.R.I.T. not get nominated? How in the hell did Diddy get nominated for a verse? And I agree about the Rich Forever mixtape being better than the God Forgives, I Don’t album. I take back what I said about the album in the comment section of GFID review. To me now, it’s not that good of a album as I thought it was at first. And IMO, I do think that nappyafro should’ve been in the Best Hip Hop Site nomination. I really don’t care age limits in Hip Hop. As long as good music is good music, that’s all that matters. And the song on the HOHN, it’s a Hell Naw.

    1. ^^^This is why I call you the MVP of the nation. You always comment, you’re always active and we appreciate that forreal.

  2. Hip Hop is so full of shit nowadays. Reason why Nappyafro isn’t listed on the hip hop website is because nappyafro is too real for them sites and don’t kiss ass…. When you speak real shit nobody want to hear. If the site was like every other site then yeah ya’ll would be nominated. It is lame how politics are but what can you do…. Anyway how Big K.R.I.T. is not nominated??? Puff Daddy! How in the fuck Diddy made the list especially being nominated over a verse we all know he didn’t write…. BET been lost me as a view about 10 years ago anyway… BET ain’t been shit since Joe Clair, Big Tigga, Hitz From The Streetz left the company. Like I said I don’t really fuck with Kanye West too much nowadays since he became a tabloid whore now… I agree with Jerm about Jay-Z being boring now. Jay-Z been spitting some bullshit lately for real. In 97-2003 I would be arguing about how good Jay-Z is. That verse he did on Coldplay is horrible, the way he rapped it. Jay-Z lucky some people are dead right now because he definitely took advantage of Biggie and 2Pac death, he wouldn’t be where he at if they didn’t die… He knows that…. How did Young Jeezy make the list?? Jeezy my dude and all but still…. I don’t know if I want to see Mayweather and Pacquiao fight now since both of them are getting older, and they waited so damn late to the point where I can careless. Rick Ross album got old to me quickly… I’m tired of Drake and I just want him to disappear. I don’t get the hype on Drake. Nicki Minaj is a better rapper than Drake to me and I’m not really a fan of her either but she is cool sometimes when she isn’t wearing that crazy shit. WTF is up with Cash Money? In 1999 if somebody would have told me Cash Money would change and have pop artist on the label I would laugh my ass off from disbelief. ASAP Rocky?? How is 2 Chainz is a rookie?? He been in the game for a minute or maybe I heard it wrong. I agree with Joey Bada$$ being on the list for mixtape. Wyclef is one crazy dude! Smh @ Jean for that one… Everybody tell too damn much in these books just for a quick buck. Lil Wayne was never garbage from the start! He was very talented when he was a kid all the way up to his mid 20’s. @Saule_2Pac was and still the truth, don’t forget that. None of your favorite rappers won’t be remembered like Pac is

    1. the only thing Imma comment on from that book you wrote is that you thought Wayne was talented as in GOOD when he was saying wobbity wobbity n shit? You thought that was good? Not catchy, not entertaining, but “GOOD?”

      1. Your only referring to Juvenile “Back That Azz Up” song but listen to Hot Boys “Spit N Game”.. Him, Juvenile & B.G. had the best verse while Turk & Bullet (RIP) were average at best…. Lil Wayne was spitting hella good for a 14 year old rapper back in 1997.. Part of his verse
“slugs hummin choppa gunnin catch the vapor from the laser/infared bled big bread money maker/copper slug barrel shaker with big paper/big baller life taker for big caker/ben franklin bank teller thankin big bankin/busta gankin left stankin ship sankin/aint no such thang as i like to see another nigga come-up/but if i don’t know that other nigga then his come-up is my stuff/”.

I was buying just about every CD and cassette they had… I was dubbing them bitches and making some change from the old CMR tapes mane. Do you really expect a young Lil Wayne to really sound like a Nas or something? I mean dude was talented as hell enough to stay on the label for so long and he had solid fan base back then. Everybody knew Wayne was the next to blow up after B.G. & Juvenile. B.G. held it down during their underground years though… He was the main artist selling like hell before they signed with Universal in 98. You wouldn’t understand though

        1. That “part of his verse” you quoted is nothing but rhyming words, he ain’t say shit. To me, that’s wack.

Nope, didn’t say he needed to sound like Nas nor does “staying on a label and having a fan base” make you “dope” or even talented (shout out to Silkk the Shocker). My point is that compare even THAT verse to what he said on “Dr. Carter” (one of his dopest songs in my opinion). From that what you posted above to what he spit on “Dr. Carter” you can clearly see growth and development. Don’t get fooled by rhyming syllables and hype beats. Call it entertaining if you want, but to call it talented or lyrical is a misnomer.

And we need not EVEN mention sales or fans into the equation. Lil B has fans…jus sayin.

          1. Dude was like 14 years old mane…. I mean really what you expect? That verse was live. You probably didn’t understand it that’s why you didn’t like it. Of course he has grown since 1997 but how can you act like he wasn’t talented. To even have that thought you should play in traffic. Don’t get me wrong I don’t like Wayne much nowadays because he went to garbage now but to act like he didn’t have no gift is ridiculous. I know my hip hop just as much as you do mane, don’t get it confused. My background is deep. I don’t get caught up in the hype beats and shit like that all the time only sometimes I do but who doesn’t.

          2. Like I said ON the frocast, A+ was lyrically gifted at a young age, gift is a gift. That Weezy spit was lame and just rhyming words. I ain’t saying you don’t know your hip hop, but I think you ride for niggas because you like them instead of being able to admit when it’s just that you like them, not that they are talented or dope.

And yeah, I understand that shit he said. He said about 5 different ways that he’s a killer that makes big money and if someone else is making money he’s takin’ they shit. Oooooh, that’s poetry. Fuck outta here man lol.

I’m not one to tell someone that they don’t know hip hop, you’ve written shit for the site and made comments that show you clearly know history and all that shit, kudos. But you think the shit you like is always the greatest, and that ain’t always the case. I know for a FACT that Nice and Smooth are not lyrical giants. I wouldn’t put them up against most duos and say they were dope…but I like them niggas. I like them enough to call them my second favorite duo of all time. But I ain’t jaded by that.

At the end of the day, it’s all opinion and if you call those bars, then what are we even talking about this for? That shit don’t move me at all…so there’s that.

          3. It don’t move you because you don’t like being live. Most stuff I like is live, it ain’t poppy. I like some pop stuff don’t get me wrong. Anyway one day I really hope I find the time to appear on the frocast so we can have our debate verbally or we can push Nappyafro to another level by doing it on PPV. You said Nice & Smooth? Smh @ you…. They only made about a good 3-4 songs besides the jam with Gangstarr. You see they didn’t stay with Rush Associated Labels (Def Jam) for too long back when being on a major label ment something. You shouldn’t have thrown them in this conversation.

          4. Live = ratchet as fuck then so be it. My gym playlist is nothing but hype shit, but even THEN I don’t go around calling nigga’s lyrical or say they have talent because they said they can shoot a nigga in 8 lines saying bullet 8 different ways. That’s not even anything to debate about and I wouldn’t waste my breath on that or people ears for that, I’d just say “aite, moving on” because that’s all there is to say.

Also, ain’t no shame in that, I already said them niggas wasn’t lyrical so you shaking your head don’t mean anything either. But see, the difference is, I’m not offended or bothered, I know them niggas wasn’t “live” as you put it. I can admit that I just like them. Had it been you, you’d be talking about how they influenced everyone and how it must be my desire to be a pastor that stopped me from seeing it or some other retarded shit like that lol.

This concludes of another example of “saule don’t answer that nigga” and I’m out.

          5. Less than a year ago you wasn’t even using the word Rachet now you following everybody else, now that’s rachet….Anyway Live = Dope as fuck, entertaining, the shiznit. Reason why you don’t like to debate because you know I got you. I’m the don. I know I shouldn’t write cuss words on Sunday Reverend Wright, forgive me.

It should be mad shame in mentioning Nice & Smooth. I mean I know Greg Nice worked with Pac on One Nation [Unreleased] album but I really wish Pac didn’t put him on that project seriously. That is one thing I didn’t agree on, that’s fa sho. I’m not offended either by a long shot but I’m just saying for you to say young Lil Wayne didn’t have any talent is ridiculous. You like Big Sean when he is soft as a baby ass but you try to say Wayne wasn’t talented before… I don’t get it. Back in the day down south, Hot Boys was one of the livest things on the streets especially when No Limit was falling off they took over 1999-2000. You really forgot how big that Cash Money & Ruff Ryder tour was didn’t you? You must have been living under a rock with no form of Television or magazines around you. If you don’t know you better go down south and ask anybody 25 years & older about how live CMR was. You already know in New Orleans they was live…. Most southern places were bumping CMR back then so don’t get that confused mane. You just mad because it is the truth. I speak the truth. Especially if you went to any hood back then they were bumping CMR. I remember going to Miami in the early 2000’s to visit relatives and they were bumping them in their projects down there. Young Money is pussy compared to how CMR use to be and the artist they had in the early 90’s to early 2000’s. Yeah some of them are dead but they was about what they rapped.

          6. Saying one word that has become popular is ratchet now? Me following? But you use “how many people use to bump them” as defense for your argument….a SEA of followers makes something/someone dope? Ok.. lol

I never said the nigga wasn’t popular but me bringing up Nice and Smooth and you bringing up me liking Big Sean only backs up my point even more. I can listen to someone and admit they aren’t lyrical giants or the best at what they do. They are entertaining but I’m not calling them the best to do it. Unlike you, I don’t mix popularity with talent. At one point the WORLD was saying it’s hot in hurr, but you don’t see me rushing to defend Nelly as one of the greats. Catchy is catchy, popular is popular and talent is talent at age 14 or 30, doesn’t matter.

You defending him having talent real hard like you want one of them baby and wayne kisses on the lips from the nigga, damn. You think he was/is amazing, I think the nigga started off wack. THE END.

Ant let the nigga Pac out yo basement nigga, it’s been too long.

          7. You are following my dude I’m just stating facts. A lot of people bump them because they was dope that’s why I bumped them because they were dope and I was a teenager then when they was running the rap game.
I’ll say this Nice & Smooth are legends I guess and that’s all the credit I’ll give them. Big Sean is okay but I don’t get the hype. I can listen to people also and admit they aren’t lyrical like Gucci Mane or some Waka songs or old school Too $hort. I use to think Too $hort was a lyrical beast when I was a kid though. Project Pat back in the day was a lyrical beast and he had his own style mane. At age 14 and 30 is different! Creativity and mentality isn’t the same when your 14/30.
Naw P-Body don’t get down like that mane. That shit Wayne & Baby do is disgusting! I’m just saying for the simple fact you’re saying the young Wayne wasn’t talented is plain out foolish. I didn’t say Wayne was amazing! I’m more of a B.G. fan overall. I was rocking with B.G. way back in the day… That dude was a beast and a true young southern legend. Over 14 albums only age 31 (1995-Present).
Naw you’re just mad because 2Pac legacy is much bigger than any artist you can name and he is the best forever. You can’t deny it mane. He is your favorite rapper favorite rapper. He is one of Jay-Z favorite rapper of all time. You like Pac but you trying to front.

  3. It would have been cool if they would have put production credits with the nominees for best producer because no one knows producers anymore. Hit-Boy produced Ni**as In Paris, Theraflu/Cold, and Wish You Would, Clique for Kanye West, I Am Your Leader for Nicki Minaj, and Goldie for A$ap Rocky. I wish Harry Fraud (Shot Caller/Cigarette Boats) or Mike Will (No Lie/Turn On The Lights/Itchin/Bands A Make Her Dance) would have been nominated.

  4. Just wanna give yall a shoutout all the way from the Windy City. Great Frocast as always. Hopefully this goes through. I don’t have a computer (shit broke) so I always use my PS3 to check out nappyafro. Because of this I can’t comment in the columns or even in the forums alot (something about the PS3’s browser is off or something). I don’t really rock with the BET Awards like that, but I am glad that my two favorite rappers out right now (Kanye and Drake) have gotten alot of nominations. Enjoy the site, keep doin’ yall thing.

    1. What up man! Nappyafro rocks with Chi-town so we appreciate love and dedication. We’ll have to have hollywo- B-Easy call them Playstation folks and have them fix it. He got connects like that.
