Killer Mike – R.A.P. Music
Williams Street Recordings/Grand Hustle/Adult Swim
Bottom Line: Killer Mike and El-P hooked up to record R.A.P Music. If you’re a fan of Public Enemy and early Ice Cube, then you’ll love this. The Brooklyn based producer El-P laces the record with beats highly influenced by The Bomb Squad. However, El-P throws on his own spin that takes nothing away from his extraterrestrial style. Killer Mike shows no fear as he rips through track after track. This is in talks for most lyrical album of the year. Read Calvin 2.0’s review here.
