Happy Birthday Hov: Jay-Z Ranks All Of His Albums

Jay-Z Albums

Today is Jay-Z‘s 44th birthday. I’ve been called a Jay-Z stan before but really the only reason I remember his birthday is because he made a song called “December 4th”. He”s actually the only rapper’s birthday I remember besides Big Boi (And that’s because we share that same birthday).

With that said, on his birthday, Jay-Z ranked all of his albums on his website Life+Times. He even stacked them all up according the rank and gave comment on each albums (According to Jay’s list, he has 4 classics and he seems to hate “Sunshine” as much as I do). I mostly agree with the ranking; I probably would have made The Blueprint #1 & The Black Album #2 but other than that I guess I’m cool with it. Below is the list with Jay-Z’s comments.

1. Reasonable Doubt (Classic)
2. The Blueprint (Classic)
3. The Black Album (Classic)
4. Vol. 2 (Classic)
5. American Gangster (4 1/2, cohesive)
6. Magna Carta (Fuckwit, Tom Ford, Oceans, Beach, On the Run, Grail)
7. Vol. 1 (Sunshine kills this album…fuck… Streets, Where I’m from, You Must Love Me…)
8. BP3 (Sorry critics, it’s good. Empire (Gave Frank a run for his money))
9. Dynasty (Intro alone…)
10. Vol. 3 (Pimp C verse alone… oh, So Ghetto)
11. BP2 (Too many songs. Fucking Guru and Hip Hop, ha)
12. Kingdom Come (First game back, don’t shoot me)
