4. Black Milk – No Poison No Paradise
Released: October 15, 2013 [Fat Beats/Computer Ugly Records]
No Poison No Paradise is the fifth studio album by Black Milk. I’ll have to say I wasn’t too thrilled to hear this after the disappointing Album of the Year release. However, Black Milk returned with that Detroit sound and he has greatly improved on his lyrics. No Poison No Paradise features a dark theme with enough vibes to make J Dilla proud. This is a great concept album that allows us to look into Black Milk’s personal life and to understand his struggle.
