While most podcasts are talking about Valentine’s Day, we’re discussing Kanye’s College Dropout and the 2014 NBA Dunk Contest. Our main topic this week centers around the coming out of Michael Sam, the NFL hopeful and openly gay athlete. This frocast is 2hrs long…so we HAD to have something important to say right? 1. Great and funny episode of the frocast. Great and crazy segment on sports. Hopefully the Slam-Dunk Contest will be better this year, but we’ll just have to see how the All-Star will turn out this weekend. Great segment on Kanye, the 10th anniversary of The College Dropout, and best, important, and worst albums by Kanye. I enjoy all of Kanye’s albums, but I’m not too crazy about Yeezus tho. Loved the music break. Interesting segment about the football player and other people coming out the closet. A lot of valid points we’re made. At times, I wondered why some/all people that are gay would want to make it public, but I get it now tho. Cool segment on Winners and Losers of the Week. Like I said, great and funny episode. I enjoyed it.

  2. Just to be clear, Dirk is not on my all time list or even on my all time PF/ stretch 4 list. I was talking about constructing a team, and having Bird and Dirk would be a hard team to cover on the perimeter.

    1. Can we agree that Dirk is at the very least a top 6 PF of all time, though?

Duncan, KG, Karl Malone, Barkley, Kevin Mchale.. Who else deserves to be put over Dirk? Dirk is one of the few players to win a ring without having a legitimate superstar beside him, and he’s been incredibly consistent. He’s got a low rebound average compared to other PF’s, but he plays more like an SF anyway, he’s also got a higher PPG average than almost every PF ever. I think he’s a top 50 (40?) player of all time.

Sorry for the long winded response, a lot of that is stuff that I’ve wanted to say to Saule as well, I just figured I’d put it all in one post.

      1. Garnett is the only other name that I can think of off the top of my head…so top 10 I guess (without doin a bunch of research). I think since Jordan came into the league, we put WAAAAY to much emphasis on scoring and often use that as the only factor to determine someones greatness.

        1. I disagree. Jason Kidd was considered a top 5 player for years while only averaging 13 points a game. I think many people forget what the emphasis is. any time you can dominate in one manner you get the respect

  3. Being the Kanye stan that I am, this was definitely the show for me this week. Graduation is his best work, followed by MBDTF (which I still say should have been your first 5 star album), LR, CDO, 808’s with Yeezus in last, although I love that album.

Kobe would be on an NBA Mt. Rushmore way before LeBron would at this point. MJ, Magic, Bird, & Bill Russel (11 RANGZ) would be on it if there was one. Big O may have averaged a triple double for a season but he didn’t start winning till Kareem got there.

What about a hiphop mount rushmore?
