The Numbers Game: Ab-Soul, G-Eazy, & Riff Raff

Ab-Soul

This week we quietly had a good week for new Hip-Hop (Well, depending on who you ask). First Up: The newcomer G-Eazy had a good debut by selling 46,000 units in it’s first week and grabbing the #3 spot. I’m haven’t heard G-Eazy’s album These Things Happen, only a few songs, but I probably should because his name is G-Eazy.

We finally got Ab-Soul‘s official debut with These Days… and he grabs the #11 spot on the charts with 21,800 in sales. If you haven’t checked out our dope review of These Days…, please do so right now (Even Ab-Soul himself liked it).

I would say that Joe having the #17 album in the country is a surprise, but his last albums came in #6 & #8 so this is actually kinda low. I still have no desire to listen to it. Bridges sells 15,100 in it’s first week.

I never thought I’d see the day when RiFF RAFF Riff Raff would actually have an album on the charts. But here we are and Neon Icon is the #22 album in the country with 11,500 in units moved. Damn. I actually listened to this album and… no review coming.
