Win, Lose, or, Draw! Cardi B was nominated for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist this year at the BET Awards after two entries in her Gangsta Bitch Music series over the course of six months. The former reality TV/Instagram star continues to impress and turn disbelievers into fans. We now have one of my choices for song of the summer (Sorry, “Lick”, you’ve been replaced) with the interestingly titled, “Bodak Yellow”.
Atlantic Records must’ve opened the budget because this video is amazing; from seeing Cardi B around exotic animals in Dubai to the flame spitters and sword wielders in the performance shots. Congratulations to Remy Ma for her win last night and breaking the streak. Good luck to Cardi B on next year’s nomination.
