mother! has a basic premise: a married couple is visited by strangers, the wife is suspicious of them and starts to distrust her husband. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Ed Harris; Great actors, but none of them are my favorites. Fortunately, once I saw that the mysteriously eerie film was written/directed by Darren Aronofsky and shot by cinematographer, Matthew Libatique (Yes, I’m such a film nerd that I know the name of the guy that works the camera on a film set. S/O to Bradford Young), I immediately wanted to watch this film.
A week after the release, still want to see it, but I feel like I’m Nino asking everyone “What the F#$k happened?” as The Carter AKA mother! has burned critics and audiences according to the reviews and reception of its ending.
