I’m happy with today’s pick for Song of the Week for a few reasons. The main one is that it proves that Song of the Week doesn’t have to be an older song, as “Shaq Carried Kobe” is off the recently released Domo Genesis & Evidence mixtape Aren’t U Glad You’re U.
This also makes sense because it features Phonte. It feels like a Phonte verse is a hard thing to come by these days and we have always fucked with Phontigallo.
In a self serving point, we just dropped the review for the latest Evidence album recently so this all just works. I also would talk more about the actual song “Shaq Carried Kobe” (Which is dope), but I ran out time writing this post. Enjoy.
