Short-T’s Most Anticipated Fall Films of 2018

Widows
Release Date: November 16th

A story about four women finishing the bank heist that their husbands couldn’t complete before their death is all you need to say to get me to watch. Bonus: This has to be the most impressive cast on this list.

Friend/Family: T, what are you getting to see?

Me: Widows

Friend/Family: Who in that?

Me: Viola Davis, Liam Neeson, Colin Farrell, Michelle Rodriguez, Daniel Kaluuya (From ‘Get Out’), Bryan Tyree Henry (Paperboi), and Robert DuVall.

I’m even impressed with the names off screen as this will be a Steve McQueen film and writer Gillian Flynn has had my attention since Gone Girl (I gotta finish Dark Places one day). Most importantly, I’m going to see Viola Davis lead a film, but I will also be watching closely at singer/actor Cynthia Ervio’s performance as she appears in two films on the list and has been cast as Harriet Tubman in her upcoming biopic.
