Positive energies and thoughts going into 2020. 1st R&B Sunday of the new year decade was going to be an Alt-Day Sunday because I played Billie Eilish’s “Everything I Wanted” 4X on Jan 1st. After church today, I was checking through the R&B section of TIDAL and found a Lloyd Essentials playlist. Plenty of highlights from the career of the New Orleans/Atlanta sanga. My only complaints were the exclusion of “Player’s Prayer” and his cover of “Turn On The Lights.“ I thought track four from Young Goldie’s third album, Lessons In Love, was a good omen for the year we’re all going to have.
