“Here We Go Again!” – Earl Simmons (1970 – 2021)

We are gathered here today to welcome the Spooky Season upon us and to see if anything has changed after a year of being cooped up in our homes, forced to reflect on our racial microaggressions. I’m here again to ask the question, “Why aren’t there more Black girls in the posters, covers, or thumbnails of Horror movies?” While I ponder that I share the films that feature a villain that wears a bonnet at night and/or a Final Girl with Melanin.
