Just as I did last week, I find myself a day behind in sharing a song from an album that recently celebrated an anniversary. (Allow me to clarify that Song of the Week is typically featured on Wednesdays; I’m not that incompetent.) This time around, let’s revisit the momentous collaboration between Jay-Z and Kanye West – the release of Watch The Throne occurred 12 years ago.
It’s worth noting that I had the opportunity to review this album previously, awarding it a commendable rating of 4.5 out of 5. (Interestingly, during that period, the staff attempted to stop me from reviewing a Jay-Z album; I’m not sure how I was allowed to do that review.) I’m not gonna say too much here other than I really hate referring to Kanye and Hova as “The Throne” and that my favorite song off the album is probably still the S1 & Swizz Beatz-produced “Murder To Excellence”.
