The Numbers Game: Cypress Hill, Devin The Dude, Little Brother, & Kurupt Hit The Charts – nappyafro.com

The Numbers Game: Cypress Hill, Devin The Dude, Little Brother, & Kurupt Hit The Charts

This week we have four Hip-Hop debuts. This is good because that mean rappers are still putting out albums (And also I have something to write about today).

Cypress Hill comes in with the highest Hip-Hip debut this week as Rise Up grabs the #19 spot. Hey, I guess everybody didn’t dislike this album as much as  King Jerm.

At #87 is Devin The Dude with Suite #420. Yea, Devin may have missed the Top 50 60. But he was only second to Cypress this week in terms of Hip-Hop debuts. Saule Wright said the album was okay.

Little Brother‘s swain song Leftback didn’t even make the Top 100. I didn’t like it as much as SBK but damn. #134 & 4,600 in sales? We gotta do better as fans people.

And rounding out the list is Kurupt with Streetlights at #183. Not exactly great but it’s still not a bad album. And it was reviewed by yours truly.

Other Thoughts:
I was gonna asks for predictions for B.o.B‘s The Adventures Of Bobby Ray for next week. But reports are already out that the album will do around 80-85k giving him the #1 spot next week. Hey, it’s not Kid Cudi first week numbers, but it’s still a good look.
