Trends That Need To Die In 2013

These are the trends that were overdone in 2012 but can stay for a while.

Jordans
Kids that probably only know Michael Jordan as the dude from that cartoon movie are stalking Foot Locker employees for release dates. My favorite Jordans are the number fours and the thirteens. If I asked some random high schooler, not a sneaker head, which number Jordans they had, I expect the response to be, “It doesn’t matter, they J’s”.

Jeggings/Leggings
To all the women that own several pairs of jeggings, I just want to say that I love you and respect you for your style choice for early morning classes. Drake gave a stamp of approval for women to be confident in sweat pants and yoga pants. I want to give recognition for all the women roaming college campuses around America in hoodies and jeggings.

Snapbacks
A throwback from the 90’s is popular in the 21st century? Who would have thought that would happen? Maybe FUBU jerseys will start popping up again. For now, the crown jewel to every outfit has been the cap with the snaps in the back. It does not matter what logo sits on top of the brim, it is all about what is in the back.

Levi’s
I will admit it, I own one pair of Levi’s (LRG jeans are my favorite) and they are comfortable, but I’m not jumping at every deal at my local ‘urban’ clothing stores or Dillard’s for these. They are cool, but they are not necessary to me. Maybe they are because Levi’s and Dickies are workman pants will last FOREVER. Maybe I do need to add a couple more pairs to my closet.

Rest in pieces to the trends of 2012 and Happy New Year to the followers already sure of what is going to be hot in the streets.
