Molly/Syrup
Are drugs still cool topics to rap about in 2012? I can only tell from the endless references in top Rap/Hip-Hop songs from this year. For the first time in a long time, cocaine, crack, or even (brace yourself) weed was not the go to drug to seem cool and fit in with the popular kids. Molly, the purest form of MDNA or ecstasy, and Syrup aka Dirty Sprite, cough syrup and soda mixed in a Styrofoam cup, have become way too mainstream with the numerous references in Hip-Hop songs and videos.
Since it’s the end of the year, I’ll say it once and only once, “Popped a molly, I’m sweatin’.” Woop! There I said it. Are you entertained?
